TFD Training offers you or your business clients a variety of customised driving on road courses across the UK and Ireland, which are designed for drivers of all levels of experience, to improve the driving skills so that the safety of your drivers and clients are increased. We provide training for both small and large mini bus and taxis including other PSVs. The benefits for this training increases your professional image and helps to reduce running costs.

Driver Training Offered:

​

• Induction workshops for the driver who has recently started employment to drive vans with little or no experience in such vehicles.

​​

• A driver who struggles with the vehicle size and needs that extra training to become safer.

​​

• For the driver who has one too many incidents who drive vans as part of their daily routine.

​​

• For your company to help reduce fleet costs and lower the insurance premiums by demonstrating a Duty or Care to reduce and prevent a reoccurrence of incidents.

 

If there are specific areas that need covered, we do this as part of our bespoke services, for example: slow manoeuvring, towing trailers, reversing, delivery drivers, etc.

Prices:

​

The cost of a full day is £400.00, which can be split between two drivers. A half-day session is 3.5 hours is £280.00.

 

Workshop Content:

A wide range of elements are covered, which may include:

• How to remain professional.

• Driving with courtesy to other road users and passengers.

• The system of vehicle control as per “RoadCraft”.

• Observation skills to help with planning and anticipation.

• Mirror checks and blind spots.

• Space management

• Approach speed.

• Vehicle handling with loads.

• Speed Limits – how to identify them.

• Any other bespoke areas that are required by the company.

 

Do you not have a suitable vehicle?

 

Unfortunately we do not supply vehicles for the training, however if you require a vehicle, we would recommend hiring one from a local hire company and the training can be arranged to commence for that location. A number of our clients have opted for this option.
