TFD Training offer motorway driving courses for drivers of all vehicles who wish to improve their level of skill and safety on these busy roads. We already have helped people from a range of backgrounds and driving experiences, including:

Motorway courses are similar to our very popular advanced driving courses. The first thing we do in all our motorway courses is to listen to you, discuss your anxieties, talk about things you wish to cover about motorway driving. This listening means we can customise the training to your needs.

 

Course Content

 

• Observation and planning.

• How to safely enter and exit a motorway.

​

• Speed management especially when driving electric vehicles.

​

• How to keep the correct safety distance from other motorway users.

​

• Tiredness - the dangers and what to do.

​​

• Dealing with adverse weather (wind, rain and fog) on a motorway.

​​

• Anticipation skills.

​

• Motorway rules, regulations and signage.

​​

• What to do in the event of a breakdown on a motorway.

​​

On the day of the course, you will meet your tutor for an informal chat before the driving starts. We discuss your needs so getting a better understanding of you and how best we can help. We will focus mainly on the following during the session:

• What you want to achieve from the training.

​​

• What are your main concerns.

​​

• How do you rate your driving.

​​

• What motivated you to complete this training.

 

After The Training

​

When each session is completed you will receive a full report outlining the areas that were covered and what improvements were made. The report will also outline areas that you would need to work on further. This report and session will be completed by a professional registered ADI (Approved Driving Instructor).
