Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions are displayed below.

Booking Process

Following a client’s booking or enquiry via our website, e-mail or in person, the client will be provided with a quote or confirmation via e-mail for their requested course. Any bookings requiring a purchase order will only be confirmed on TFD Training receiving a copy of the purchase order or the purchase order number.

Provisional bookings may be made via our website, by telephone or in person, but those by telephone or in person must be confirmed in writing (by e-mail, letter or completing the enquiry form via the website, along with a copy of your purchase order if required) within 10 working days.

Any quotes will contain the various course details, including date, times and any other relevant information. Quotations and proposals will be valid for a period of 30 days from the date of production.

Before proceeding any further with the booking, clients are required to acknowledge receipt of and agree to the terms and conditions of the booking. Clients should note that places are not confirmed until a deposit (if agreed) or full payment has been made and where courses are limited this will be on a first come first served basis.

Our preferred method of communication is via e-mail.

Payment Terms

Our standard payment term is for full payment being taken at the time of the booking unless otherwise agreed in writing or as advertised on our website.

If payment by invoice has been agreed, full payment is due 14 days prior to the commencement of the course, unless you hold a corporate training account where payment terms will have already been agreed with your account manager or other terms have been agreed in writing.

We accept the following payment types:

  • Card payments
  • Bank Transfer
  • Direct Debit

No certificates will be released unless all outstanding monies have been paid.

Late Payments

All invoices that remain unsettled after payment due dates will incur a charge of £40.00 compensation fee, unless other terms have been agreed in writing.

Invoices that remain unsettled after 30 days after a reminder has been sent will incur a 10% late fee on top of the fees mentioned above, unless other terms have been agreed in writing.

These terms are in line with the late payments of Commercial Debt Regulations 2013.

Transfers and Cancellations

TFD Training reserves the right to cancel or alter the dates or provision of service, the venue and the individual or organisation providing the service. In the event of cancellation, bookings will normally be transferred to the next available date, unless the client specifically requests otherwise.

Significant effort goes into arranging course dates, tutors and other resources. Courses can only run subject to minimum numbers. However, should circumstances mean that you need to transfer, change the date of your course or cancel your course, the following charges will apply, dependant on the notice given by the client:

  • Cancelled more than 28 days prior 100% of the course fee will be refunded to due delivery date: if already paid. No additional charges if the course can be transferred.
  • Cancelled between 7-28 days prior 50% of the course fee will be refunded to due delivery date: if already paid. Charges will be incurred for the course to be transferred including any expenses to TFD Training.
  • Cancelled between 0-7 days prior 0% of the course fee will be refunded if to due delivery date: already paid. All invoices will be charged in full unless by prior agreement in writing.

Telephone cancellations can be accepted, but must be confirmed immediately in writing (by post or e-mail). Notice of cancellation will be taken as the date of receipt of written confirmation.

Non-Attendance

If you do not attend a course and you have not previously notified us, the full course fee remains payable.

Late Arrivals/Missed Sessions

If a delegate arrives late for a course, or is absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept them for training if we feel they will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable.

To conform to Awarding Organisation requirements, the Awarding Organisation policies will apply.

Identification

To conform with Awarding Organisations, Employers or Clients requirements, delegates will be required to produce photographic identification to Training Providers and Assessors, as required by Awarding Organisations, Employers or Clients such identification could include but not restricted to:

  • Driving Licence
  • Passport / Passport Card
  • Employer / Volunteer identification pass
  • Valid Student ID card

If proof of identification is not satisfactory the delegate will be removed from the course and in all such cases, the full course fee remains payable.

Unforeseen Circumstances

On occasions, unforeseen circumstances may require us to cancel a course. In such circumstances, you will be given as much notice as possible and either a free transfer to another course date or a full refund.
